I had a nice lunch today with the parents of one of my students from years ago. It was great catching up. We talked about the old days and how we can see how far we've come from "back then" and talked about the future.
Isn't it funny how most conversation goes from the past right through the present and into the future. I think we internally know that there is an eternity. Almost every one of my serious conversations go there...Sometimes I think about it but don't converse about it. How awesome it is to know that God has a forever planned for us. And he's planning it with us in mind whether we are following him right now or not. He is truly amazing.
I thank God for true friends. It was good getting on the level again. I like catching up.
